Center of Excellence (COE)

A Center of Excellence (COE) is a body that facilitates the set of standards and practices throughout an organization. The CoE also serve as a community of practice for a given topic area, encouraging sharing and knowledge flow throughout the organization.

The COE also plays a central role in facilitating and ensuring the high standards in various areas by vetting the course structure, syllabus, examination process, & selection of examiners. The CoE would comprise of eminent individuals from industry/academics having a significant experience and contribution in their field of work. All members of COE shall be empanelled by TISS-SVE

Name - Mr. Shashikant Anant Juvekar

About Me - Has over 38 years of rich experience including 20 years on the pitch of Training & Skills Development at Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, Appliance Division. The initial 18 years of work life was spent in customer service. He has 10 years of (simultaneous) work experience in most functions of room air-conditioners. Due to passion and sharing knowledge, he was instrumental in starting Vocational Training Schools at Godrej. He was one of the key team members of a team working for CFC and now works for HCFC phase-out in RAC service sector of India under leadership of MoEF&CC, Govt of India. Was one of the members for curriculum change -2 years craftsman course run at ITI spread across states of India. He is Certified Lead Auditor for ISO: 9000 Quality Management Systems.

Name - Ms. Aarti Shashikant Juvekar

About Me - Dr. Aarti Juvekar was Officer-in-Charge, Anticancer Drug Screening Facility, ACTREC, Navi Mumbai. She trained at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, USA for the ‘Use of human tumor xenografts in SCID mice for anticancer drug testing’. She was a teaching faculty member of the ‘Cancer Biology’ course for the Ph.D. students from ACTREC, Navi Mumbai and also was a Guest lecturer for the students of PG Diploma in Rehabilitation at the All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and other colleges of Mumbai. She has also worked as Reviewer of scientific papers for various Indian and International Journals.
