About Me - Dr. Premlata Kuldip Ambre, Associate Professor of Pharm. Chemistry a faculty at Bombay College of Pharmacy working in the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry since September 1999. Completed doctorate degree from Bombay College of Pharmacy in 2001. Expertise in various subjects like Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis and all advanced topics in the field of medicinal Chemistry like pharmacophore modelling, structural elucidation, synthon approach, combinatorial chemistry high throughput screening etc at post graduate level. Recognized as a research guide of MPharm as well as PhD (Tech.) degree at the Mumbai University and has successfully guided 27 M. Pharm. Her research areas have been mainly on design and synthesis of novel inhibitors of targets involved in diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and cancer. She has received support as a Principal Investigator for research from AICTE, CSIR, UGC, the Mumbai University and Pharma industrial projects (raised funds worth Rs.58,87,000). She has published 16 research papers in National and international journals, 2 book chapters and won prizes (cash) for 7 best oral and poster presentation awards at various national and international conferences. For her projects, she has collaborated with various international scientists and universities including John Hopkins, University of Bristol, University of Illinois, University of Ain Shams, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and University of Kingston. She has been involved in reviewing manuscripts for renown scientific journals of Biomolecular structural dynamics (JBSD-Wiely) and Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
She is the Life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress, Registered Pharmacist of Maharashtra State Council of Pharmacy and a member of American Chemical Society.
