About Us
To empower youth with industry-embedded skills through skill -based quality education through on -the- job training with designed skill training for each semester that enhances employability, through Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit policy that promotes sustainable livelihoods, and contributes to India's socio-economic development.
• To provide quality, on demand industry-aligned skill education through Undergraduate,
Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, and Short-term Skill Enhancement Programmes
(StSEPs) that address existing and emerging skill gaps and prepare competent, industry
ready graduates.
• To integrate academic learning with practical workplace experience through the Work
Integrated Training Programme (WITP), enabling students to acquire professional
competencies through structured on-the-job training in industry.
• To foster strong partnerships with industries, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure
that curricula, training, and assessment remain relevant to evolving workforce
requirements.
• To promote holistic development by nurturing technical competence, professional ethics,
employability skills, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning among students.
• To facilitate stipend-supported on-the-job training opportunities, wherever applicable, in
accordance with programme guidelines and the policies of the partnering industry or
organisation.
Established in 2014 under TISS, the School of Skill Education was created in response to India's National Skill Development Mission. It has since grown to offer 34+ Bachelor's programmes across 18 sectors, reaching students across 67 locations nationwide.
